SHOULD INDIA ATTACK PAKISTAN AND GET BACK KASHMIR…?

The question posed above has been the most debated topic of the recent times, indulging masses from every nook and corner of the country. Each one of us has made an effort to answer the question in the best possible way, in the process justifying them too, some with their wit and some with humour. However, the issue, being the hottest across the globe, needs to be pondered over at an analytical level rather then just being based on impulses.

When I mulled over the question, I was in a state of complete hysteria. The implications are so mired that acquiring a single solution looks unconceivable.

If I aver that, yes, India should attack Pakistan and get back “Kashmir”, then the aftereffects of a war are to be borne both by India as well as Pakistan. Kashmir is the disputed land and both Pakistan and India claim it to be theirs…

Pakistan does’nt have much to loose, nothing much at stake as they are ruined already, to a large extent, by Taliban. But then humane conscience alerts me about the catastrophe that a war wreaks. Human casualty ranges from hundreds to millions. Nevertheless, besides human loss there is monetary loss as well. When war knocks a country, it suavely postpones the goals to be achieved by 10 years.

If India attacks now, mission 2020 would be pushed to 2030 which has already been lingering around 2024 due to recent economic downfall. At such a tipping point of economic crisis, no country in the world could take the risk of a war, which could shatter its dreams of emerging out of this economic niche.

If I forget about the economic crisis and also overhear my conscience’s plea for humanity, then too there exists a dimension which calls for a definite musing. That dimension is none other than “nuclear power”. The entire world is aware of the fact that Pakistan is rattling good in nuclear weapons. The world is also aware about the frenzy with which Pakistan is eager to use them against India. Pakistan has an edge above India only in nuclear power and hence will not be reluctant in using that. A single nuclear explosion spifficates everything under its radii of impact. It produces enormous amount of heat, and 10 such explosions can shift the dynamic equilibrium of reversible global warming reaction to the products side, which will squeeze the timeline for us to save ourselves from the anathema of mother earth.

One more reason exists which is against an YES…a silly reason indeed. It goes with an adage, “we must learn from others mistakes”. The entire world has witnessed the hardships that Jews are facing in Israel…for a piece of land smaller than Madhya Pradesh. When their dispute could not be solved after more than 2000 years of struggle…then its futile to fight against such a crazy nation. Let them have the piece of land on the condition that, they’ll not extend their territory further OR better declare that as an independent state, so that every body can live peacefully.

Also, major nations including UN are against India coming to terms with Pakistan.

Above factors prevent me from asserting an YES.

As the coin has only two facets…if I am not able to vouch for YES, that directly means a NO. Lets ponder over what would be the scenario if India does’nt attack…

If I say, no, India should not attack Pakistan, then it would project a weak image of India. As a nation, we can not afford to risk the life of it’s people in terror acts hosted by Pakistan. The image so formed will grow the infiltrations and other insurgent acts in the nation. Also it would make the Talibanese cocksure about their evil desires to get hold of India akin to Pakistan. Recent increase in frequency of infiltration into the Indian territory and the events of mass destruction calls for immediate redressal policies from the government.

It requires the unification of world economies against the “ hub of terrorism “ and an action plan be developed in order to erase the word “terror”.

If India will not attack Pakistan…it can never liberate its citizens in kashmir, and it’s india’s moral responsibility to safeguard its residents and provide them with freedom.

But just to perform its duty and project itself as a powerful nation, India can’t jeopardize world peace…this means averting a NO is also not consummate.

Hence the need of the hour is that INDIA SHOULD NOT ATTACK …but it definitely needs to put through diplomacy. It can only create pressure on Pakistan at present, to surrender its unlawful means and stop exfoliating terrorism.

Diplomatic maneuvers comprise of moves undertaken by our government like, bringing the bilateral peace process to a complete halt, shunning of all goodwill gestures which included the “Samjhauta Express” and other means of public transport which enabled intermingling of the holloi-poloi of the two nations. As an annotation to this, all ties associating to the most popular game of the two countries that is cricket have been broken. This brings the PCB under immense pressure to meet with the losses, the havoc of which will further trickle down to the country’s economy as a whole, which is already in peril.

This suggestion can be corroborated from the recent scheme of events that have featured lately after the mumbai carnage. The acumin of Indian government, has first time in the long history succeeded in making Pakistan to give up and acknowledge involvement of accomplice from their very own soil. Subsequently we can be assured of some light at the end of the tunnel.

If things don’t miscarry, then India being a peaceful nation can extend a hand of warmth and friendship towards Pakistan again…else wait for the suitable moment and attack Pakistan taking into confidence the major nations like USA , CHINA and UN…attacking through global force would be the best gambit as no one could then raise a brow against India.
